Deli Clerk
Full-time or part-time positions are available for a Deli Clerk team member.
Job Description
As a Deli Clerk team member, you will be responsible for filling customer deli orders. Slicing deli meats, cheeses, and making sandwiches are the main job roles, as well as routine cleanup and organization of the deli area. You must be personable and always ready and willing to provide our customers with a very positive, memorable shopping experience, all while performing your required responsibilities and duties at a high level.
Responsibilities
• Provide a superior level of customer service with a friendly, caring tone
• Slicing, weighing, and packaging deli meats and cheese at our deli counter for customers
• Must have good sandwich making skills, while able to work quickly
• Cutting, packaging and pricing cheese
• Packaging and pricing bulk items
• Handling special requests from customers
• Stocking display counters
• Keeping the store, work and storage areas clean and tidy at all times
• Perform daily opening and closing procedures
• Receiving and stocking merchandise in warehouse and coolers
Qualifications
• Must demonstrate excellence in friendly, professional customer service
• Possess an ability to work well with others
• Good verbal communication skills are required as you will be dealing direct with customers
• You have a keen eye, and good attention to detail
• Previous retail food experience would be a definite asset
Availability
• Monday to Friday days, or
• Monday to Friday afternoons, evenings, and/or
• Saturday and Sunday days

This individual must be personable and always ready and willing to provide customers with a very positive, memorable shopping experience , all while performing their required responsibilities and duties at a high level.

• Process all customer purchases, collect accurate tender, and bag purchased items
• Handing special customer requests
• Keep the work, storage areas and store clean at all times
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Must possess the ability to work well with others
